How to send messages to followers

You can send messages to followers of feedback, ideas, or stories from a follower list. 

Step 1: Once you’re in a follower list, you can apply a filter to segment your list before sending a message.

📌 Segment followers to message either team members or external users. Team members are anyone on your team who is invited to your Roadmap account, whereas users are external stakeholders like customers and leads.

Step 2: Once you’ve applied a filter, select “Message these followers”

From here you’ll see an editor to draft your message. Our messenger allows for simple HTML and merge tokens. For example, when you send a message to a group of followers, you can personalize the message with a merge token. Add a merge token by typing " { " in the editor and you’ll see a list of possible tokens. Select the token you want to use by clicking it. 

Once you send a message, a record of the message is posted to the feed of the feedback, idea, or story. A record of the message is also tracked on a user’s page. If someone replies to your email, their response is added as new feedback.
